A few years ago, Manoir Belle Plage acquired a vacant lot behind the hotel in order to rebuild its ecosystem.
We planted 2,000 trees in 2021. Today, we have planted more than 3,500: coniferous and deciduous trees, an arboretum featuring noble species such as oaks and birches, as well as walnut trees and more than 150 fruit trees.
Our goal is to encourage local consumption by developing a pick-your-own harvest initiative and by transforming our own fruit in our kitchen to incorporate it into our breakfast offerings.
This initiative has allowed us to recreate a true ecosystem in the heart of the city by eliminating invasive species and revitalizing the environment with healthy and sustainable plant life.
